Dalian & ChengduI love the seas, I love the forrests, I love the moutains, I love every these natural beauties, but I love the city most, yes the man-made city always impresses me mostly.
The buildings hold the cities' body, the business schedule domainates the cities' blood transportation,
While actually the people concrete its everything, the cell of the city.
Above is the all I am thinking of when back from the 2 cities---Dalian and Chengdu.
The 2 second-rate cities of China share many common tributes, such as they are both famous for their each travel environment (Dalian for its around-BoHai sea tour and Chengdu as the transfer spot for Xizang, Yunan or Shangrila) and their each specific model of property management. And although the latter tribute not as much famous as Beijing, Shanghai and Shengzhen, I still think they stand out for their own.
For example, when I came from Wucai industrial zone to its city center in Dalian, not only the "above-ground" metro costs me little time and cost, but also let me enjoy an amazing eye-sight meal of its splendid sea surroudings all the way on the metro.( Although I am still very concerned about maybe in the near future the "sea tour on metro" will soon diminish as the high buildings up around the metro way to block the sea sight in every angle...) Anyway, it still not really happen so far. And when I came to Dalian's biggest square XinHai Plaza which is famous for enormous acres it takes besides the sea, it shocked me right on the head! So many residential highrises for sale, although I thought it's just like the tomb for Real Estate that time, I am now thinking of its probability of exsistence. The XinHai Plaza is still very young in Dalian's development history not like Zhongshan Plaza who takes Banking, Finance and Retailing/Trading as its focus in which the Dalian Wanda held the big 1 in Retailing RE developer of Mainland China, Xinhai on the other way will take its functon for holding the country or international meeting eg. the Boao Forum. and always telling us Dalian still actors as the "Old North industrial city" of China more than its definition just as a "travel city" and it also aims to develop into a "high-techs city" in the future.
And Chengdu impressed me for its prosperity in retailing, not to exaggerate, Chengdu is the No.1 heaven for shopping malls and women in China Mainland in my eye. Not like so many small creative retailing shops in Beijing based on "Sihe Yards", not like Shanghai's dispersed business centers, they are very concentrate right because Chengdu really is a smaller city compared with the "big Shanghai" concept. Anyway, the concertration just creates everything for every window-shopping fever fan! And u can see everywhere the big shopping mall dorminates it all far beyond small bussiness in Chengdu. Although small bussiness still survive in Chengdu, but they mostly exsist systematically as "street Culture" which also bring much convenience for travellers and management. Chengdu is now developing its new center in Shuangliu, which may break the concertration of "old chengdu", it may expands Chengdu's concentrated prosperity to its "satellitic-cities", anyway, a healty development in my eye. 引用通告此日志的引用通告 URL 是: http://sheryn0201.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!FAB3E5998AAB1295!1125.trak 引用此项的网络日志
